Courtyard Cottage
Courtyard Cottage is a two bedroom holiday rental attached to our home, a grade II listed Plaistow Barton farmhouse. Historic and full of character, it's even mentioned in The Domesday Book.
You'll quickly spot the impressive plaque over the fireplace dating back to 1679!
Surrounded by rolling countryside, you'll enjoy a particularly tranquil, private location.
Conveniently, we're still within easy reach of a variety of beaches (including Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe) and countryside activities for all types of holidays.
Simply furnished and cosy, Courtyard Cottage offers a different style to the impressive renovations of the Threshing Barn and the Engine Barn - appealing to those looking for a smaller and more humble stay.
Guests are welcome to use our communal playing field and the Games barn.
There is space for a couple of vehicles directly outside the cottage.

What to expect...
Courtyard Cottage offers comfortable sleeping and seating for 4 guests.
The historic large Inglenook fireplace, featuring a log burning fire for colder evenings, provides a central focus to the living area and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics, including washing machine and microwave.
Two bedrooms are accessed by a beamed staircase and offer comfortable sleeping for four by way of a double room and a twin bedded room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a hairdryer is provided.
Courtyard Cottage has it's own private entrance and parking spaces.
Accessed from a traditional stable door, you have your own back garden, complete with picnic table and BBQ area.
If you or your children would like to help feed our goats, sheep or chickens please let us know.
The eggs from our chickens are lovely and taste far better than those from any shop!
(Note: we can't guarantee eggs every morning!).
Please remember, the joy of our peaceful location means you'll need to accept our mile long access lane.
It's a bit bumpy in parts, and so not suitable for sports cars, but it's a beautiful drive.
